Raised in Alabama yet born to roam, this multi-talented dynamo has been thrilling people of all ages worldwide with her appealing song styles and unmatched acting skills. Bowman’s adventuresome spirit weaves her love of music, theater, arts, travel, culture, relationships, and more into an undeniably powerful performance package. Whether belting out Broadway and big band ballads or softly seducing you with sultry standards, Ms. Bowman always delivers memorable musical moments that keep people coming back for more. Along with a wide variety of crafty songs both old and new come comical offerings often compared to Carol Burnett. Deborah Bowman, an incomparable must-see performer.

Deborah began playing piano and singing in the gospel church from an early age. With a BA focus on classical Theater and Dance from University of Alabama, she relocated to New York City in 1999 and began a professional career in entertainment. Bowman soon found herself on stage performing nationwide in Cameron Mackintosh’s first National Tour of Oliver! Some of Bowman’s stage credits include: Chicago (Velma Kelly), Cabaret (Sally Bowles), Sweeney Todd (Beggar woman), Shout! (Orange Girl) and Evita. Ms. Bowman can be seen on television portraying the role of Beth DeSilva in Ugly Betty Season IV. She has appeared in several major motion pictures including, “Julie and Julia” and “Its Complicated” with Meryl Streep, and Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street 2”. Ms. Bowman is a proud member of SAG, AEA, and AFTRA.

Bowman’s international singing career really took off in 2006 as she began forming her own unique cabaret act that led to the well-received show entitled “A Journey of Love” which she has continued to perform on world cruises. Bowman premiered the self-produced show with her 7-piece Big Love Band in May of 2008 at The Harlem Stage Theater in New York City. She recently incorporated Production Company Mama Bama Records with her collaborator, arranger, and Music Director, the great ivory master, Dean Fransen. Together they have written and produced several well-received stage shows and charity benefit concerts in New York City and across the states with their unique personal flair and aplomb. Some of their fun-loving shows include the comedy infused Christmas extravaganza “Holiday ReGifted”, the moody and sensually driven “Seasons of Love”, the awareness-raising “Alabama Tornado Relief Benefit Concert”, and the recent debut of “Love Fell on Alabama”. Ms. Bowman’s delightful singing is featured on the new CD release produced by Mr. Fransen for Mama Bama Records called “Addicted To Love Songs”.
